John W. Evans, Jr., 75, of Ravenna, entered peacefully into eternal life on Friday, April 14, 2023 in the comfort of his home. He was born July 28, 1947 in Cleveland, the son of the late John W. and Nancy (nee Cardinale) Evans. John worked as a warehouse clerk for Heinen’s Supermarkets and was an active member of the Teamsters Union Local #507. He was of the catholic faith and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro. John was the loving husband of 57 years to Charlotte M. (nee Blankenship); beloved father of the late John W. III; Philip (Tina); Kevin; and Christopher (Brittany); cherished nonno to Amanda Wardle (Kyle), Philip “PJ” (Alicia “AJ”), Daniel, Chelsea, Zach, Kaleb, Giovanni “Gio”, and Leonardo “Leo”; great grandfather to Max, Miles, and Lily; caring brother of the late Angela M. “Tootsie” Bowman (the late Allen R.), Barbara Pilch (the late Ed), and the late Suzanne McKim (the late Bill); caring and loving uncle, great uncle, and friend to many.
