KATHLEEN RUSS, (nee DAVIS) age 89, of Valley View passed away on January 16th. Kathleen was a secretary/treasurer for the Society of the Deaf for many years. She was a tireless advocate for deaf students in the Cleveland Public Schools, fighting for the use of American Sign Language in public school classrooms. Kathleen faithfully served and attended Walton Hills Church of Christ, where she served as a Deaconess and a Sunday School teacher. Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James, parents, Robert and Katherine Davis (nee Evans), Marie Davis and siblings, Robert Davis, Thomas Davis and Shirley McNaughton (nee Davis). Kathleen is survived by her sons Armon (Rebecca), Jimmy, and Kenneth (Lisa), five grandchildren Sarah (Matt), Michael, Kim, Lauren (Mike), and Chris and seven great grandchildren Landon, Hayleigh, Colton, Chase, Luke, Cameron, and James. Immediately followed by funeral services at 10a.m. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.
