Obituary: KENNETH P. KLING


KENNETH P. KLING (1940-2023), age 82, of Brecksville, Ohio peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on May 18, 2023. He was the son of Bernice and Willis Haeseker (both deceased). Ken was a graduate of St. Joseph High School (1958). He was interested in technology, engineering, and anything electrical. Ken was an amateur radio operator since 1955 (W8VZT) and tracked the Sputnik Soviet satellite in 1957 as it sent radio signals back to earth. Professionally, he was a Vice President and Partner at Comptrol and subsequently the Founder/President of MC2 until his retirement. Ken taught electrical engineering application at Lorain Community College and was a long-standing member of the Cleveland Engineering Society and Christ the King Church in North Olmsted. Ken’s passion was sharing his love for Jesus Christ in his relationships and interactions impacting thousands of people.

Ken is survived by his wife, Elaine (nee Zeleznik), of 60 years; his children Patrick J Kling, Lauren K Sullivan, Kenneth J Kling, Michael J Kling, Linda S Kling, Todd Sullivan, Kelly A Kling, Staci L Kling, and Dai Ting; his grandchildren Ryan D and Danielle Kling, Joshua W and Sarah J Kling, Kalie S and Scott Bella, Daniel P Kling, Rachel B Sullivan, David A Kling, Xai E Sullivan, Julia E Sullivan, Maxwell J Kling, Austin J Kling, Sara R Kling, Anthony J Kling, and Elena Y Kling; and his great-grandchildren Nathan H Kling and Kathryn M Kling.

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA ROAD (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 31, 2023 FROM 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. Ken’s memorial services will immediately follow at 6:00 P.M.
