MARILYN KAY DAUB (nee Davidson), age 81. Marilyn was born on February 2, 1942 in Springfield, Ohio and passed away on September 15, 2023. Beloved wife of Charles; loving mother of Julie Kizlik (Lawrence), Paula Moeller (Greg), and Randy Daub (Shar); dear grandmother of Renee, Kacy, and Cameron Kizlik, Justin, Josh (fiancee Emmi Wang), Jacob, Jared, and Jeremy Moeller, and MacKenzie and Tanner Daub; cherished daughter of the late Paul and Olive Davidson.
Marilyn was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Elementary Education. After teaching second grade for a couple of years in Shadyside, Ohio, she started her family. Chuck’s work brought them to the Nordonia Hills area, where she was active in the PTA and North Summit Women’s Club. Later, when their kids were grown, she was organizer of the Artistic Angel Arts & Crafts Show at the United Methodist Church of Macedonia for 11 years. Also, she served as delegate to the UMC’s East Ohio Conference annual meeting at Lakeside for 12 years, was the wedding coordinator at the church, and helped put together a 650-recipe cookbook. For a number of years, she was a Welcome Wagon Lady for the Nordonia Hills area, which she greatly enjoyed. She and Chuck also enjoyed cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean, as well as several trips out west. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and texting with the grandkids.
Friends may call at THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF MACEDONIA, 1280 EAST AURORA RD (OH RT 82), MACEDONIA, OH 44056 FOR VISITATION ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2023 FROM 10:00 – 11:30 A.M. Marilyn’s funeral services will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. at church. Interment Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested in her name to the United Methodist Church of Macedonia at the above address or to a charity of choice.
