Mark S. Magda, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Loving and beloved husband of Leslie Ann (nee Jardy); Beloved son of the late Charles and the late Rachel “Marie” Magda; Loving and devoted father of Jason (Katalin), and Mark, Jr.; Dear stepfather of Ericka Haqqi (Junaid “Jay”), James “Jimmy” Langa and Sarah Blaha (Adam); Caring grandfather of Lilianna and Christian Magda, Chase Magda, Gabriel and Sonja Haqqi, and Jacob, Hannah and Nathan Blaha; Cherished brother of Charles (Deborah) Magda, Jr.; and dear friend to many.
Mark was a 25+ year tow motor operator at Preston and Yellow Freight. He spent the last 15 years working for the communities of Northfield Village and the Village of Boston Heights. Over the years, Mark enjoyed the outdoors, especially his family trout fishing trips. He also enjoyed casinos, traveling, and playing catch with his dog Nelson “Rockefeller,” his best buddy. Mark was a passionate Cleveland sports fan and also an expert bargain finder!
A man of faith, Mark demonstrated Christian values in his willingness to help anyone, friend or stranger. He had a knack for engaging others in conversation and always left a lasting impression. A doting husband, Mark frequently left Leslie Ann little notes and always had her morning tea bag and cup ready.
Mark was a good man.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home 99 W. Aurora Road, (RT. 82 one mile West of Rt. 8) Northfield Center, OH where prayers will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 9:15 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Church, 10419 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg, OH. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery, Northfield Center, OH. . www.johnsonromito.com
