Obituary: Paula Angelina Schmitt (nee Scianna)

Paula Angelina Schmitt (nee Scianna), age 92, of Sagamore Hills, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond C. Schmitt Sr.; daughters, Rosemarie A. (Vincent) Webb and Adella T. (Terry, surviving) Eckman; and her sisters, Mary Kraft and Josephine Wesley. She is survived by her children: Angela D. (Marvin) Ross, Raymond C. (Karen) Schmitt Jr., Paula A. (Kraig) Roberts, and Mary Jo (Mark) Nelisse; 14 grandchildren: Amie T. Ross (Joe), Misty Rose Schmitt, Jacqueline K. Schmitt (Andrew), Ashley Rose Brown, Raymond C. (Nance) Schmitt III, Scianna A. Brown-Butler (Darrell-deceased), Francis C.(Jolene) Gradisher Jr., James E. Curtis Jr. aka “Farmer Jimmy” (Rosie), Isaac (April) Eckman, Joel (Kaitlin) Eckman, MacKenzie S. Schmitt, Hannah Eckman, Jessica Anna (Alex) Nelisse-Blankenship, Noah Ignatius Nelisse (Christina); 9 great-grandchildren: Emil Vincent Jackson, Korisa P. J. Sklare, Michael P. Sklare Jr., Sophia J. Wojciak, Michael R. Wojciak, Lincoln Cash Bettio aka “Pronto”, Chase Eckman, Charlotte M. Edwards, Joseph Raymond Schmitt, and many nieces and nephews. She is now with the multitude of angels singing “Hallelujah!” She loved and protected her family with a fierceness that no one would dare cross! They were the center and highest priority of her life always and will live on in every single one of us! We will miss our momma, grandma, great grandma, and granny like no other! Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30AM, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2023 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 9451 Brandywine Road, Northfield, Ohio 44067.
