Ronald W. Emert Sr. age 69 of Sagamore Hills, Ohio passed away, Friday February 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Susan Rae (nee Rogers); dear father of Ronald (Lori) Emert Jr., Lynnette (Ronald) Adkins and Kristi (Nicholas) Ralston; loving grandfather of Austin (Ava), Danette, Adrianna and Taylor. He was raised by James Ravenscrat and the late Shirley Ravenscraft. Survived by brother Jim Ravenscraft and sisters Jamie Szovoda, Candy Kline and Monnie Johnson.
Ron was selfless, compassionate, loved his wife (Sue), trustworthy, hard-working, avid outdoorsman known by the nickname “DeerHound” among hunter friends and he enjoyed fishing. The number one thing he taught his grandchildren was to follow in his footsteps throughout the woods so the path was clear for us to follow.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family. Friends will be received Monday, February 5, 2024 from 4-7 PM at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home 99 W. Aurora Road (RT. 82 1 mile west of Rt. 8) Northfield Center, Ohio. Friends will be received Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 10:30- 11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM at Northfield Baptist Church 311 W. Aurora Road Sagamore Hills, Ohio 44067.
