First Half 2024 Manufactured Home Tax Bills In The Mail, Due March 1st 2024

Akron, Ohio, February 2, 2024 – Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE
has announced that first half 2024 manufactured homes tax bills were mailed Thursday, February 1, 2024. If you have any questions, please call 330-630-7226 or 330-630-7225.

The closing date for payment will be Friday, March 1, 2024, with the exception of military
personnel. Property taxes are deferred for military reservists who are on active duty. Applications can be obtained by calling 330-630-7226 or visiting our website at http://fiscaloffice.summitoh.net.

There are several convenient ways for property owners to make payment.

1. By mail: Mailed payments must be U.S. postmarked by March 1, 2024 to avoid the statutory 10% penalty for late payment. A private meter is not valid for establishing the date of payment.
2. Drop Box Location: Taxpayers can submit tax payments by using the drop box located at Summit County Fiscal Office Services Department 1030 E. Tallmadge Avenue Akron, Ohio 44310. Regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Any payments made through the drop box that create an overage will be applied to the next tax bill.

Taxpayers who are taxed like real property who do not agree with our valuation of their property have the opportunity to file a complaint with the Board of Revision. Complaint forms (DTE 1M) are required to be signed, dated, and notarized. Submissions are accepted from January 1, 2024, through April 1, 2024. Complaint forms can be mailed to the Summit County Fiscal Office Board of Revision 1180 S. Main St., Suite 250 Akron, Ohio 44301. Submissions are required by law to be postmarked on or before Monday, April 1, 2024. You can obtain a complaint form (DTE 1M) by calling 330-630-7226 or 330-630-7225.
