Obituary: Susan S. Lenahan (nee Stanton)

Susan S. Lenahan (nee Stanton), age 77 of Macedonia, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was the loving mother of Stanton Sean and the late James Stanton Lenahan; former wife of the late James Thomas Lenahan; and dear sister of Thomas Stanton.

Susan dedicated her life to serving others as a rehabilitation counselor for the State of Ohio and lived her life guided by her unwavering faith. Her passion for making a positive impact on society and serving those in need led her to pursue a career in counseling for those with disabilities, where she tirelessly worked to uplift the lives of countless individuals and families. She possessed an extraordinary ability to connect with people and had an amazing sense of humor and adored her pet pups. She approached her work with unwavering dedication, always going above and beyond to ensure that the vulnerable and marginalized received the support they deserved.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Susan was a woman of deep faith. Her spirituality was the cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength, solace, and a moral compass. She was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, where she found solace in prayer, participated in various charitable initiatives, and shared her wisdom with others. Her unwavering devotion to her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.

As a mother, Susan was a pillar of love and support for her children. She nurtured them with boundless affection, instilling in them the same values of compassion, empathy, and faith that she held dear. Her unwavering love and guidance will forever be cherished by her children, who will carry her legacy forward.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to The Bloodhound Society of the US.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 9080 Shepard Rd., Macedonia, OH. (Everyone please meet at church.)
