Summit County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Ohio State Highway Patrol

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Ohio State Highway Patrol to curtail excessive speed and aggressive driving in construction zones within Summit County. On Thursday, December 9, 2021, a joint operation between the two agencies was conducted. During the operation, numerous citations were issued to drivers exceeding 80 mph in a construction zone with workers present. Several additional citations were also issued for following too closely and unsafe lane changes within the construction zone.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol will continue to conduct operations throughout Summit County targeting speed and aggressive driving within construction zones.
