A warm unity was in full effect on Tuesday, May 9th, as the ceremony for the groundbreaking of The Veterans Memorial Park rallied excited faces. Macedonia mayor Joseph Migliorini spoke with encouraging words, as relatives, friends, police officers and firemen watched with fixated eyes. Mayor Migliorini touched upon the roots of the park and the potential that is nestled within the project. Project Coordinator Tom O’Brien, Dan Davis and Dave Pristash also gave their passionate words about the project and its significance, emphasizing the emotional investment of every veteran involved.
I had a chance to speak to Dave Pristash last month, which was a pleasure, as he introduced the project to me with vivid detail. Since that meeting, I’ve spread the word to family and friends, interested in bolstering more support.
A vibrant sun imprinted upon a puffy, sky blue canvas was the perfect backdrop for a ceremony that displayed commitment and pride. Nordonia, let us rejoice and take initiative.
