The Nordonia High School Drama Club will present William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing as this year’s fall play production. The Drama Club is excited to return to the works of Shakespeare with Much Ado, easily one of the bard’s most well-known comedies.
Much Ado finds the community of Messina celebrating a break from an ongoing war, but not all is peaceful amid the merriment. Former rivals battle it out, revenge is sought and trickery runs amok in this timeless comedy of romantic retribution and miscommunication.
Directed by Nordonia’s Director of Drama, Chris Simmons, with the assistance of Dane CT Leasure, Much Ado will be presented on the stage of the high school auditorium, with the audience seated on stage with the actors. This year’s cast is comprised of: Hailey Beck, Alex Bobay, Jamie Brasdovich, Julia Dulaney, Kate Gentile, Dylan Gray, Miah Montesano, Richie Nyce, Juliet Penrod, Camron Pugh, Hadassah Rayle, Nathan Shaffer, Richard Spangler, Nick Spinetti, and Elizabeth Waight. Andrew Hawkins and Natalie Wurts are on board as well as Production Assistants for the show.
Performances for Much Ado are: Friday and Saturday, November 1st and 2nd, at 7:00 PM and Sunday, November 3rd, at 3:00 PM, in the high school auditorium. Tickets are general admission and are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
There are still some tickets available at the door, but Sunday is sold out.
