Violent Incidents

  • March 1: Domestic violence on Roosevelt Dr between father and son. Juvenile reported father hit him and pinned him down, also destroying his bedroom. Father was arrested and housed in Macedonia Jail until court date on 3/3/25.
  • March 6: Aggravated menacing at MGM (Northfield Rd). Officers responded to report of disgruntled guest making numerous threats after having a jackpot intercepted by Ohio Lottery Commission. Threats made to Summit County Sheriff’s Office and MGM employees.

Property Crimes

  • March 4: Credit card misuse/felony at Peppers Fresh Market on Northfield Rd. Officers recovered a credit card skimmer and will follow up.
  • March 8: Theft reported at MGM on Northfield Rd. Security reported theft of voucher ticket valued at $808. Victim later stated she wanted to press charges.

Mental Health/Medical Incidents

  • March 6: Assist rescue squad at Northfield Village Skilled Nursing facility for unwitnessed fall. No foul play suspected, report taken for documentation.
  • March 8: Officers responded to Vorderman Road for male locked in bathroom experiencing paranoid behaviors. Macedonia Dispatch convinced male to put down firearm and speak with officers. Male transported to Marymount Hospital for evaluation.
  • March 9: Suicide at MGM south parking lot. Male found deceased with self-inflicted gunshot wound in his vehicle. Investigation turned over to Detective Bureau.

Traffic Incidents

  • March 10: Hit-skip accident at Ledge Rd/Northfield Rd with possible intoxicated driver. Driver fled to MGM parking lot, then bailed on foot. Officers located suspect in casino and arrested him for leaving the scene and OVI (Operating Vehicle Intoxicated).
