Welcome back to our weekly dive into the Nordonia Varsity Girls Bowling team’s adventures. The week kicked off with the Sectional Preview Tournament where our girls claimed a solid 3rd place. A special shoutout to Abby Toronski for her outstanding 557 series, landing her in the all-tournament team.
MLK Invitational: A Team Effort
At the MLK Invitational, it was all about teamwork. The girls paired with the boys and bowled their way to 2nd place. Aiden Bulanda stole the spotlight with the top game and series scores of the tournament.
Victory over Twinsburg
Next up, Twinsburg faced our unbeatable Lady Knights at Roseland Lanes. The scoreboard told the story: 2153 to 1356, with Nordonia dominating on a tricky oil pattern. Kolbey Lewin and Grace Bzdafka led the charge, proving the lanes are where they shine.
Tomahawk Challenge: Baker Game Brilliance
At the Tomahawk Challenge at Riviera Lanes, it was all about Baker games and our girls didn’t just play, they conquered. Qualifying 2nd, they soared through the matches and clinched the trophy in an exhilarating final against Fairport Harbor. Pure bowling magic.
Suburban League Dominance
The winning streak continued against Tallmadge and Wadsworth. The games were tough, the oil patterns trickier, but our Lady Knights didn’t flinch. Whether it was Abby Toronski’s powerful series against Tallmadge or Kolbey Lewin’s top-notch performance against Wadsworth, the message was clear: Nordonia rules the lanes. The JV team put up a fierce fight too, just missing a win against Wadsworth in a heart-stopper.
There you have it, a week where every pin counted, and every frame was a story. The Nordonia Lady Knights are more than just a team; they’re a force, one frame at a time. Stay tuned for more action from the lanes next week!
