What makes YogaSix different from other Yoga Studios?
YogaSix offers an amazing sensory experience. To start, guests are welcomed at the door by friendly staff as they proceed to the warm practice studio. The practice studio is outfitted with a special lighting and sound system to promote energy, flow, movement and cool down. Upon leaving the practice room, students are greeted with a chilled, moistened towel in order to refresh and relax before heading out for their day. All of this creates an atmosphere and culture of warmth, inclusivity, and positive energy.
The goal at YogaSix is to take the intimidation factor out of yoga. Yoga is for everyone, no matter what the experience level is. The YogaSix staff will connect with our guests to learn about what their goals and interests are for starting their yoga practice. The classes are designed for students of all experience levels, so a new guest can book any class and practice at their level. The yoga instructors have been trained in the YogaSix methodology. They teach in a way that is easy for everyone to understand and follow. Our teachers start class by explaining the practice that will take place, they use empowering techniques to support the students through this practice. Teachers always encourage the use of props, and offer adjustments and/or tips when necessary.
What is a recommendation for a beginner at yoga as to number of hours per week and days to devote? A recommendation for beginner is to just get started with the time that is available to them. Whether this is once a week or once a month. You can start out slow and scale up, adding more classes as your comfort level and time permits.
Katie Ballenger, the owner of YogaSix has had a successful corporate career for many years, throughout which she has learned many lessons, and had wonderful experiences preparing her for YogaSix ownership. But more importantly, the growth in her personal fitness has most prepared her for this exciting opportunity. She only began exercising and becoming active just a couple of years ago. Katie says it has changed her life. Katie adds, “I am healthier, happier and better able to take care of myself and my family. It is possible to begin an exercise or wellness routine at any age or fitness level. I am so excited to share YogaSix with the community, and help others with their health and wellness journey.”
A Personal Success Story Katie shared with Nordonia Hills.News:
One of our current members tried her first Y6 Class in the beginning of April, and signed up for an 8-class pack membership. She quickly realized, she wants to come more than 8 times a month and she increased her package to the unlimited a few days later. In just a few short weeks she has seen a difference mentally and physically. Yoga has helped lead to other positive changes in her life and she is heavily focused on becoming a better version of herself. She has come to love the practice so much she realized she wants to become a teacher herself so that she can share this beautiful gift with others.
For People Who Travel for Work:
Studio packages are offered where members can utilize classes at other locations. This is perfect for a member who travels a lot and doesn’t want to be tied to one studio. YogaSix also offers an array of other memberships and packages to suit their needs.
