Summit County to Host Summit for Kids Professional Symposium

The 2019 Summit for Kids Professional Symposium, Unraveling Privilege and Bias for a more Equitable Community, will be held on Friday, August 16 at the Akron-Summit County Public Library located at 60 S. High Street.  The cost of the symposium is $50 and includes parking, CEUs, CLEs and lunch.

The program will focus on how privilege and bias play a role in experiences and interactions with clients and colleagues. Participants will learn how to address diversity, equity and inclusion within the workplace to create a culture of excellence. This program is co-sponsored by Summit County Children Services (SCCS). SCCS is an Approved Continuing Education Provider through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist Board.

This session is approved for 5.75 hours for Social Workers and Counselors. This course has been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 4.25 total CLE hour(s), with 4.25 of attorney professional conduct instruction.
