Obituary: AUREL VICTOR PAPP

AUREL VICTOR PAPP, age 78, passed away on January 30, 2021. Loving husband of Phyllis (nee Mazanec); beloved father of Kimberly French (Kenneth) and Kelly Kuklisin (John); dear grandfather of Nichole and Sean; brother of Michael (the late Jeanette), Margaret Soederstrom (Mark), and David (Shari). Early in life, he spent time playing baseball, basketball, and softball. He graduated from John Adams High School in Cleveland and retired from the Swagelok Company in 2002 following 43 years of service to the company. Orrie took pride in his cars and was always waxing them.  His father-in-law once told him he was going “rub the paint off” because he was waxing the car so much! He loved to travel and take photos of nature; with his favorite trip being to Africa.  Orrie was a member of the Buckeye Searchers Metal Detecting Club and found many, many interesting things during his metal detecting.  He was a perfectionist on everything.  Orrie was a wonderful husband and loving father and grandfather.  Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON FRIDAY FROM 2-4 AND 6-8 P.M. OUT OF RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER, MASKS WILL BE WORN AND SOCIAL DISTANCING OBSERVED. All are asked to gather at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 8894 OH-14, Streetsboro, OH on Saturday at 11 a.m. to celebrate Aurel’s Mass of Christian Burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggestedto be made to your favorite charity.
