Josephine Doerner (nee Zuccaro), age 98 of Sagamore Hills passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Jo was the beloved wife of the late William F. Doerner; devoted mother of Barbara (Michael) Pearson; loving sister of the late John Zuccaro, Jr. Jo was a registered nurse for many years. She was also an accomplished seamstress and baker. She loved to read and learn, enjoyed growing tomatoes in her garden and enjoyed visiting and spending time with friends. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Jo’s name to VFW Post 6768, 8584 Olde Eight Road, Northfield, OH 44067 or to Western Reserve Herb Society, 11030 East Blvd, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 PM SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2021 at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, 99 W. Aurora Rd. (Rt. 82, one mile west of Rt. 8), Northfield Center, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 25, 2021 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 9451 Brandywine Rd., Northfield, OH. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.) Graveside services and interment will be at 1:30PM Monday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH.
