Crash near Graybill Road in the City of Green

On May 12, at approximately 7:20 a.m., a dump truck traveling on Interstate 77 struck an ODOT vehicle. The crash occurred near Graybill Road in the City of Green.  Subsequently, an explosion ensued and both vehicles caught on fire. Deputies extracted both drivers and the drivers were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Interstate 77 was backed-up to Route 30 in Stark County. The crash is being investigated by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
