Pat was a supportive wife, mother, grandma and friend, quick witted and always busy. She was a native of Cleveland, OH and had lived in the Macedonia, OH area for nearly 40 years. Pat was a supportive wife, mother, grandma and friend. She loved her family pets, Golden Retrievers – Barkley, Fletch and currently Buddy. She was quick witted, smiling and always busy. She loved her family and was very proud of her role as family historian. She was a talented upholsterer seamstress and quilter, she was always creating something clever, completing a puzzle or solving a problem. She gave her time to many in various ways over the years, always willing to pitch in wherever needs arose. She was devoted to her recovery, sharing her experiences as well as helping others to do the same. She supported many over the years as a scout leader for both of her children, owned her own business and supported other women business owners, along with numerous other causes of the community. She enjoyed traveling to see her favorite performers, the annual family steam train trip, the tri-annual Hammer Family Reunion where she collected the family tree information and gatherings with her sisters where they completed many a jigsaw puzzle. In her younger days she enjoyed family camping trips, taking many multi state summer adventures. She was an expert at parking the trailer in reverse and once got a standing ovation from other campsites. She was tasked with many a Thanksgiving meal even if demanded in July, and had attained legendary status for her gravy making ability. Humor brought her through her recent battle with cancer, never complaining about the treatment and making memories in between. She will be missed by many near and far.
