Victoria Olga Peterson (nee Nickens), age 83 of Twinsburg passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2023. She is the beloved mother of Carmelita Torres and Cynthia Smith; cherished grandmother of Latia Carver Wilkes, Brittany Nicole (Anthony Edward) Smith, Candace Marie Smith and Selena Torres; loving great-grandmother of Anthony Edward Smith Jr, Aiden Wilkes, Aaliyah Nicole Smith, Seth Wilkes and Jeremiah Devell Williams; dear sister of Myrtle McKee, Charles (Theresa) Nickens, William Nickens, Teresa Jackson and the late Elizabeth Martin, Sam and Virginia Nickens; dear aunt of Noel, Andre, Charles and Jeron Nickens and Sam Nickens, Jr, Robert and Debbie McKee, Brian Martin, Jason (Trina), Ashley, Cierra and Gary Jackson; great-aunt of Brandon and John Jackson, Seth and Quinton McKee. Victoria graduated from East High School, then went on to study at both Eastern and Metro campuses of Cuyahoga Community College and then graduated from Virginia Marti College of Art and Design. She worked as a seamstress making military fatigues and uniforms for the Cleveland Indians early on and then owning her own store where she made clothing and religious items. The family will receive friends 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, 99 West Aurora Road, Northfield Center, OH (330) 468-1443 where funeral services will begin at 12:30 PM.
