MARIO ANGELO MANOCCHIO, age 93, passed away on July 18, 2023 at home in St. Augustine, Florida with loving family at his side. Born in Baranello, Italy on December 10, 1929 to Antonio and Nunzia (nee DiChiro) (both deceased), Mario was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary, of 64 years and leaves behind son Anthony (Karenina); daughters Nancy (Eric) and Norma (Kris); grandchildren Natalie, Gina, Gabriel, Isabella, Sophia, Britian, Alexia (Daniel), Eric (Ruthayn) and Kristi (Jason); and great grandchildren Nicholas, Alexander, and Charlie. He was the brother of Angelo (deceased) (Maria), Darvina (Anthony) (both deceased), and Ida (Michele) (deceased) and leaves behind many other extended family members and friends that will miss him greatly.
A beloved husband, father, and friend, Mario lived with joyful vitality, strength of character, and faith, working hard and helping those around him his whole life. Long-time member and officer of the Baranello Lodge, he was instrumental in building and maintaining the facility and enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow members. He advocated for education, loved travel, nature, gardening, authentic Italian cuisine, and above all, time with family.
