JAIME D. DANNUG, age 68, of Macedonia, passed away July 25, 2023, surrounded by loving family and friends. Beloved husband to Remedios L. (nee Morales); loving father to James M. and John A. (Samantha); son to the late Cipriano B. and Alejandrina (nee Dugue) Dannug; cherished brother to Maria Cabanero (Eladio), Cipriano (Lina), Pacifico (Cecilia), and Helen Blanza (Ricardo). Born in Davao City, Philippines, Jaime, “Jimmy” to many, immigrated to the United States at the age of 18. With his wife, Remedios, and two sons, James and John, he built a beautiful life with both his heart and his hands. As talented as he was with his hands to build, he was equally, if not more so, gifted with the ability to make everyone around him feel welcome and included. He could always brighten the room and put a smile on your face with his kindness, charm, and boisterous laugh. Always as clean cut as a military man, he loved being outside, working with his hands, parties, making jokes, dancing, telling stories, and would very rarely leave a new acquaintance without them having only great things to say about him. Passionate in life, his joy came from bringing others up and taking in every experience life had to offer. Give him a dance floor and some music with family and friends and he was happy. Jaime was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, and always committed himself to those he held dear to his heart. He was quick to support, help, and pray over those in need. Hard working, he spent the majority of his career at Demag Cranes & Components, in Solon, OH building electrical panels and developing lifelong friendships, earning his living to support his family. He was also a member of many Filipino organizations for the majority of his adulthood, happy to give back and be active within his community. He was blessed to have spent his life with his parents and siblings, from his childhood growing up in the Philippines and living his adult life in the US, never being too far apart and always remaining close.
