Karen Lee Jaggers (Jerman), age 65, passed away peacefully October 7, 2023 in her home surrounded by her beloved children and sisters following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 5, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio to her loving parents, Janet Jerman and the late Richard Jerman. Karen was preceded in death by her late husband, Jerry Jaggers, now reunited and Heavenly joined together. She is survived by her devoted sons and daughters and their partners, Jacob and Courtney (Cooper) Jaggers, Peter and Janeil (Jaggers) Whitworth, and Jessica Jaggers, as well as her treasured grandchildren, Jerry Jaggers, Fenn Whitworth, and Selby Whitworth. Karen’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family who loved and cherished her deeply.
For 40 years, Karen served as a dedicated respiratory therapist treating and honoring patients and their families with the utmost warmth and compassion. God gifted Karen a true servant’s heart and tenderness towards people who needed care. She took pride in her work and brought comfort and encouragement to everyone she met.
Mostly, Karen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her precious children and grandsons. She was a devoted and present “Momo” to many great nieces as well. Karen shared in deep and joyful relationships, and her support, advice, and company will be greatly missed. She enjoyed hosting summer pool parties, growing beautiful flowers and succulents which adorned her home, and traveling with her close friends and family to sunny locations.
The family requests that loved ones remember Karen and her legacy in special moments by warm beaches, with every taste of celebratory cake, and during the bloom of beautiful May flowers. Our dear Karen–mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend–will always be there to share in our joy.
All friends and family are welcome to join in her Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 12pm until 3pm at Boston Township Schoolhouse, 1775 Main St, Peninsula, OH 44264.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Karen’s honor to one of these local organizations: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, UH Seidman Cancer Center, and Hospice of Western Reserve.
Private family services were cared for by Slone & Co. Funeral Directors.
