Goalkeeper Mallory Larrick makes 13 saves in defensive effort
The Knight Girls Soccer team dropped a hard-fought 1-0 conference match to ninth-ranked North Royalton last evening, falling to the 2024 state championship runner-ups in a competitive defensive battle.
North Royalton managed just one goal in the first half against a determined Knights defense anchored by goalkeeper Mallory Larrick, who recorded 13 saves to keep her team within striking distance throughout the match.
The loss moves the Knights to 1-6-1 for the season as they prepare for their next challenge against Archbishop Hoban on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Akron. The junior varsity squad will kick off at 1 p.m.
The Knights’ JV team also faced tough competition, falling 3-0 in their contest.
