PowerUp Studio marks three months in business with a lineup of hot yoga, Pilates and recovery classes for every fitness level
MACEDONIA, Ohio — A new fitness studio in Macedonia wants members to leave feeling better than when they walked in, no matter which class they choose.
PowerUp Studio, located at 8210 Macedonia Commons Blvd, offers yoga, mat Pilates and sculpt formats. The studio combines several styles under one roof rather than building its identity around a single signature class.
“PowerUp felt like a natural fit,” the studio said of its name, which grew out of a love for power yoga and the way those classes made the owners feel. “It captures what we want people to experience every time they walk through our doors: a chance to push themselves, reconnect, recharge and leave feeling better than when they walked in.”
A Class for Every Kind of Day
The schedule includes Sculpt, Pilates Sculpt, Mat Pilates, Power Yoga, Slow Flow and Yin. Some sessions are athletic and fast paced. Others focus on mobility, stretching and recovery.
A dedicated heated room sets PowerUp apart from other studios in the area. Staff built the space specifically for hot classes, with controlled heat and humidity rather than a simply warm room. Hot Power Yoga, Hot Sculpt, Hot Pilates Sculpt and Yogalates all run in that heated studio.
Members who prefer a slower pace can choose Candlelit Slow Flow, Yin plus Meditation, or Stretch plus Flow. Those formats emphasize mobility, recovery and reconnecting rather than intensity.
“Rather than building the studio around one signature class, we’ve created a well rounded schedule that allows members to choose what they need that day,” Susie Moorhead, co-owner of PowerUp Studio said.
Instructors bring certifications across yoga, Pilates, strength training, mobility and restorative practice. The studio said that mix keeps the schedule varied while giving each teacher room to bring a personal style into the room. New students and experienced practitioners alike can expect modifications throughout class.
