Check Out a Fantastic Synchronized Christmas Lights Display By A Local College Student- Brennan Satola

It’s that time of year again…. when we load up the car with pajama laden children, and mugs of hot chocolate and snuggle into our vehicles equipped with Christmas music favorites to see the twinkling Christmas lights nearby. Some families may even dress warmly and stroll about their neighborhood in search of beautiful Christmas lights. If you are looking for a home to take a stroll to, or drive to see a fantastic light show, then look no further this Christmas season.

Brennan Satola has a synchronized Christmas lights display you are going to want to feast your eyes upon! Brennan usually starts setting up his synchronized light display the week of Thanksgiving and it can take over a week to set up approximately 8000 lights and over 2000 feet. This is Brennan’s sixth year setting up a synchronized Christmas light display, located at 1292 Berkshire Drive, Macedonia, OH 44056.

Brennan is now a second year studying Resort and Attraction Management at Bowling Green State University, and treasurer for his program’s club called Resort and Attraction Industry Leaders. Brennan has been setting up synchronized Christmas light displays for six years now at his home since he was a freshman in high school. His father Rich Satola helps out by assisting with lights and maintenance, along with the rest of his family Jen, Michael, and Claire Satola. Brennan says that he got his inspiration from one of the family trips they took to Walt Disney World in 2015, where they featured a major “dancing” Christmas light show he saw, and said he had to create his own!

Synchronizing the lights with the music is what takes the most time, at 10-12 hours per song, according to Brennan, because each has to be very precise. Each individual strand or prop is individually controlled by his computer and coordinating all sixty channels with the music is very time consuming. Brennan’s goal is to release one new song every single year or redo one that has been on the show for a longer time. His favorite song so far that he has synchronized is Feliz Navidad, but other favorites are Wizards in Winter by Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Winter Wonderland by Dan Stamper.

You can visit Brennan’s synchronized Christmas light display at his home at 1292 Berkshire Drive, Macedonia, OH 44056 from now until January 1, 2023 Sunday through Thursday from 5-10 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 5-11 pm. Be sure to tune in to 107.1 FM to watch the music Brennan has chosen and synchronized his Christmas lights display to. There is an Emergency Assistance Center drop off box for non-perishable canned items to be donated. Their best year so far has been 2020 for donations.
