County Executive Shapiro announces National Pet Month Adoption Event

SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—In celebration of National Pet Month, County Executive Ilene Shapiro is reducing adoption costs at Summit County Animal Control and encouraging residents to consider giving a dog or cat a new family and a new home. As the weather warms up, there is no better time to think about adopting a furry friend! Call 330-643-2845 to schedule an appointment with Summit County Animal Control today!

During National Pet Month, adoption costs will be reduced to $28 for dogs (regularly $94) and $10 for cats (regularly $60) from Monday, May 2 till Tuesday, May 31. The animals will be fully vetted (bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay/neuter, and vaccinations) and ready to be taken home. Those who adopt a dog will receive a 2022 Summit County Dog License included in the adoption cost.
