Cuyahoga Falls Varsity Bowling Boys Triumphs Over Nordonia

On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, an exciting high school bowling match unfolded at North Woods Lanes. Starting at 4:00 PM, the varsity teams of Nordonia High School and Cuyahoga Falls High School faced off in a closely contested game.

The Cuyahoga Falls Boys Varsity Bowling team clinched a victory with a total score of 2710, surpassing Nordonia’s score of 2614. This win was largely attributed to the outstanding performances of two players from Cuyahoga Falls: Robert Rompf, who led his team with a 451 series, and Justin Wagner, who followed closely with a 450 series. Their exceptional performance in the last Baker game, where they scored 269, was crucial in securing their team’s victory.

The Nordonia Varsity Bowling team put up a strong fight. Aiden Bulanda scored a total of 406 with games of 224 and 182. Josh Ware led the team with a total of 437, scoring 265 and 172 in his games. Justin Roberts contributed a total of 347 from his games of 200 and 147. Drew Kitzmiller and Kyan Freyhauf also showed commendable performances, with scores of 433 (203 and 230) and 417 (217 and 200), respectively. The team’s total score after the first round was 2040. They scored 161, 228, and 185 in the Baker games, summing up to a Baker total of 574, leading to their final score of 2614.

The Cuyahoga Falls Varsity Bowling team showcased a balanced team effort. Aiden Hawley scored 185 in his game, while Jack Frankich contributed a total of 380 with scores of 237 and 143. Justin Wagner and Robert Rompf were the top performers, scoring 450 (248 and 202) and 471 (269 and 182), respectively. Jonathan Rasch and Adam Walters added to the team’s total with scores of 179 and 411. The team’s total after the first rounds was 2056. In the Baker games, they scored 181, 204, and a high 269, leading to a Baker total of 654 and an overall winning score of 2710.

In the junior varsity match, Cuyahoga Falls again outperformed Nordonia, winning with a score of 2228 against Nordonia’s 1597. Xavier Moore was a standout performer with a 446 series, and Lucas Hummel contributed with a 360 series.
