Fall Season: Nordonia Girls Cross Country at Boardman Spartan XC Invitational – 457 (16 out of 35)

The Nordonia Girls Cross Country teams took part in the Boardman Spartan Invitational Cross Country meet this past Saturday. 

Olivia May led the Lady Knights with an impressive 24th place finish individually, completing the race in 19:53.50. Following her, Sofia Bonanno secured 72nd place with a time of 21:07.20, while Ella Bonanno finished 93rd with a time of 21:31.10. 

Olivia Pecic came in 112th with a time of 21:53.10, and Ella Rathbun rounded out the team’s top five finishers in 182nd place, finishing in 23:14.40. In total, nine Lady Knights participated in the meet at Boardman, including Sarah Sedor (187th), Olivia Ross (216th), Carmen Wise (219th), and Arijana Smajlovic (246th). 

The team from North Allegheny secured the first-place finish for the girls’ race with a total of 78 places. They dominated the invitational, followed by the second-place Shaker Heights Raiders (123) and the third-place Brunswick team (139). 

In the DI girls’ race, North Allegheny’s Wren Kucler (17:49.00) took the top individual spot, with Union Lake’s Daniela Scheffler (18:07.40) coming in second and North Allegheny’s Robin Kucler finishing closely in third.

UP NEXT: The Nordonia Cross Country Girls Will be making a trip away for the Fleet Feet Invitational at Strongsville High School. The race is set for 23rd of September by 10:00 AM.
