Tractor Supply Company was founded in 1938 at Charles Schmidt’s kitchen table in Chicago as a mail-order tractor parts business. Within one year, it grew from that kitchen table to a successful retail store in Minot, North Dakota. Today, in its 85th anniversary year, more than 50,000 Team Members serve customers at 2,100+ Tractor Supply stores across 49 states.
On its journey to becoming the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, Tractor
Supply has remained true to its commitment to be a good neighbor. Nationally, the Tractor
Supply Foundation supports nonprofits including the American Farmland Trust, FFA and 4-H. In 2022, the company donated more than $15 million to charitable causes through direct giving, sponsorships, fundraisers and more.
Locally, the Macedonia Tractor Supply supports the 4-H Summit County Sizzlers, Humane
Society of Summit County and the Farmer Veteran Coalition.
Tractor Supply is committed to supporting vibrant rural communities for all by investing in the future of Life Out Here through today’s youth and being a good neighbor in the communities we call home.
