Nordonia Bowling at the Sectional Tournament: 02/18/22

The Boys Varsity team won the sectional tournament at North Woods Lanes on Friday, Feb 18th. After a giant 2nd game of 1162, Nordonia just pulled away from the field, finishing 253 pins ahead of 2nd place Youngstown Boardman.
Matt Willis led the Knights with a an awesome 705 series (258,235,212) finishing fourth overall. Kyle Drazil was right behind him with a 701 (233,246,222) finishing fifth overall. Bryce Lewin finished 10th overall with a 655 (215,234,206). Mark Hupcey finished 21st with a 599 (169,189,241). RJ Lewis bowled only 2 games and put up great scores of 258 and 208. Great Bowling!
The Knights will move onto the Districts on Monday, Feb. 28th at Roseland Lanes.

CONGRATULATIONS! The Girls Varsity team qualified for the District Tournament by finishing third in the sectional tournament at North Woods Lanes on Friday, Feb 18th. Only 3 teams move on to the District Tournament.
The Lady Knights put up 3 solid games of 853, 907, and 844 to pull away from 4th place Kent Roosevelt. The margin between 3rd and 4th was 279 pins.
Kolbey Lewin finished 4th overall and led the Lady Knights with a 634 series (206,213,215). Julia Frost finished 8th overall with a nice 571 series (180,223,168). Hailey Whitten finished 18th overall with a 483 (165,150,168) and Grace Bzdafka finished 21st with a 471 series (150,168,153). Kaitlyn McNutt added games of 152 and 153 and Rory Maynard chipped in with a 140. Great Bowling Lady Nights!!
The Lady Knights will move onto the Districts on Tuesday, March 1st at Roseland Lanes.

Nordonia boys finished the season with an 11-1 record in the Suburban League. Kyle Drazil had the 2nd highest average, 219.7 and earned 1st team honors. Matt Willis was 3rd earning 1st team honors, averaging 218.9, Bryce Lewin averaged 208.5, finishing 10th, earning 2nd team honors, and RJ Lewis averaged 208.3 for 11th place.
Sorry, Bryce was 8th, RJ was 9th. Their columns were cut off.
