Nordonia Knights: A Resilient Second Week at the Barnesville Doan-Ford Invitational

The Nordonia Knights Wrestling Team ventured into the second week of their season with a strong showing at the Barnesville Doan-Ford Wrestling Invitational. Held at Barnesville High School from December 15th to 16th, 2023, the event was a show of how well-drilled this team is.

The Nordonia Knights entered the Barnesville Doan-Ford Wrestling Invitational with determination, and their efforts resulted in a commendable fourth place by the end of the day. With a team score of 53.0, they were positioned just behind SVSM, who secured third place with a score of 56.5. The day concluded with Barnesville in the lead, holding a narrow margin with a score of 62.0, closely followed by Frederick Douglass at 61.5.

The Nordonia Knights improved their play on Saturday and finished the competition in second place. Their perseverance paid off, as they improved upon their performance from the previous day and now sit second in the tournament, only behind the winners, Barnesville, who amassed 203.5 points. SVSM, who came in third place, completed the list of the invitational’s top competitors. The fact that Nordonia managed to climb all the way to second place shows how determined and hardworking they are.
