Nordonia Varsity Girls Bowl Over Cuyahoga Falls in Suburban League

The Nordonia girls varsity bowling team continued their stellar performance on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, as they defeated Cuyahoga Falls by a whopping 594 pins in a Suburban League matchup at Northwoods.

The Nordonia girls scored an impressive 2367, which is one of the highest scores in the league this season.

The Nordonia girls were led by senior Kolbey Lewin, who bowled a 439-game series with games of 181 and 258. Lewin’s 258 was the highest individual game of the match, and she also had the highest average of 219.5. 

Lewin has been a consistent leader for the Nordonia girls, and she is aiming to qualify for the state tournament.

Kaitlyn McNutt followed with a total of 386 (205 and 181). Brooke Barnes contributed a 350-game series with games of 160 and 190. Abby Toronski and Lexi DeMarco also added to the team’s victory with a series of 337 (178 and 159) and 324 (169 and 155), respectively.

Cuyahoga Falls’ top scorer was Lori McCune with a series of 378, and Katie Fox contributed a 298 series. However, their efforts were not enough to overcome Nordonia’s lead.
