Baseball: Twinsburg Varsity Tigers Beat Northview

Twinsburg Varsity Tigers were triumphant over Northview 6-1 on Friday at Sylvania Northview High School.

Twinsburg Varsity Tigers were the first to get on the board in the second when Martwon Shannon doubled, scoring two runs.

Twinsburg Varsity Tigers added one run in the third. William Bamler singled to center field, making the score 3-0.

Twinsburg Varsity Tigers scored one run in the top of the fourth on a solo home run to left field by Cole Kramer.

Lucas Tinter earned the win for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers. The pitcher gave up four hits and one run (zero earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out five and walking one. #8 took the loss for Northview. The starting pitcher went four innings, surrendering four runs on four hits, striking out one and walking one. Nathan Kimmel pitched one and two-thirds innings of no-run ball for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers in relief. The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking two.

Kramer led Twinsburg Varsity Tigers with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Twinsburg Varsity Tigers turned one double play in the game.

#5 went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Northview in hits. Northview turned one double play in the game.
