Resolution 21-2020 Passed. A RESOLUTION DECLARING IT NECESSARY TO RENEW AN EXISTING 5.07 MILL TAX LEVY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CURRENT EXPENSES PURSUANT TO OHIO REVISED CODE SECTIONS 5705.9(A) AND 5705.191, REQUESTING THE SUMMIT COUNTY FISCAL OFFICER TO CERTIFY THE TOTAL CURRENT TAX VALUATION OF THE CITY AND THE DOLLAR AMOUNT OR REVENUE THAT WOULD BE GENERATED BY THAT LEVY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
This was it’s third and final reading. This is a tax a renewal – not a tax increase. There will be more legislation coming that will address the wording so that the ordinance may go on the ballot in the fall.
Resolution 29-2020 Passed The city is reducing the budget by 3.5 million dollars.

Resolution 30-2020 Passed  AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF MACEDONIA’S INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR
The IT Director Kyle Collins is disposing of IT equipment that is too old to use. Some of the equipment was from 1990’s.
Resolution 31-2020 Passed AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE POSITION OF PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR FROM THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT TO HUMAN RESOURCES
In the Mayor’s report, Mayor Molnar mentioned two projects that were approved by the planning department: McAlister’s Deli and Cleanland Car Wash. More information about these projects can be found here.
