SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro and County Council recently passed legislation to recognize the 2022 Akron Pride Festival and Equity March. As the nation celebrates landmark advancements in LGBTQ+ rights across the last decade, from marriage equality to federal employment protections, County Executive Shapiro and Council reaffirm their commitment to equality and equity in the community.

I look forward to seeing our residents celebrate these achievements and more at the Akron Pride Festival!”
