Crumbl To Open In Macedonia

Lovers of fresh-baked crunchy goodness will soon have an added option to quell their flavorful cravings.

“We are getting a Crumbl cookie,” Mayor Nicholas Molnar announced on May 23 during his comments at a City Council meeting.

The bakery, which has locations in Stow and Akron, will be in the current Don Basch Jewelers on East Aurora Road, the mayor added.

The jewelry store will relocate to just behind its current location, Molnar said.  That will leave the vacated space open.

“It’s my understanding that they are going to split that into two [spaces],” Molnar said.

A time frame has not been announced by Crumbl, according to Molnar who asked residents refrain from calling and emailing him every day for the Crumbl opening date.

Crumbl is a family-owned business co-founded five years ago in Utah by cousins Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley. The franchise has grown to more than 800 locations in 49 stars and Canada.

Molnar has been working to get a Crumbl to open in Macedonia, he said. The company finally agreed.

“We are pretty excited to have that,” Molnar said. “I know that my children absolutely love that place.”
