Police Blotter: Change, Salsa Fly In Condiment Conflict, Facebook Posts Reported

Disorderly conduct
Customer hot over salsa: Police were called to a Golden Link Boulevard Restaurant on April 28 around 9:30 p.m. after cents and salsa were tossed by a customer and employee during a conflict over the condiment. The restaurant manager told police a customer became irate
over the amount of salsa received with her order. An employee filled up another cup of salsa for the customer. “When the employee went to hand the customer the new container, the customer grabbed the original container and flicked the cup containing salsa in the employee’s face,” according to the report. The employee then grabbed the tip jar and threw it at the customer. The customer allegedly attempted to climb over the counter but was pushed back by other employees. Police viewed the surveillance video. No charges were filed.

Disturbance/assault
Customer spits in the face of employee: Police were called to a Valley View Road restaurant on May 15 shortly after 11 a.m. after an employee reported a customer pulled up to her drive-through window. The man spit into the employee’s face and drove away in a blue truck.
Police are investigating.

Telephone harassment
Family harassed on social media: A family told police on May 17 that they have allegedly been harassed by a man on social media for more than two years. The married couple told police they volunteered for the Nordonia Hills City School Board of Education two years ago. During that time a man allegedly started to target them, according to the report. They alleged that the man posted their home address on social media. They also alleged the man obtained a 16-year-old police report via a public records request and posted the report online. The couple allege the issue is ongoing. The man allegedly continues to post items about them on a Facebook page and tags them in the posts. The situation is affecting their lives, according to police. No charges were filed.
