On a beautiful day perfect for golf, the Hudson Country Club hosted the Walsh Jesuit Invitational. Taking place in Hudson, Ohio, the event commenced at 11:30 a.m. and featured nineteen competing teams.
Among them, the Nordonia Lady Knight Varsity golfers stood out with a score of 369, with Junior Julia Gulla leading the way with 79 strokes.
However, claiming the victory was the Magnificat Golf Team, which achieved an impressive score of 298. Cara Heisterkamp was a standout, securing a remarkable 68 individually.
The Highland Girls Golf team took the runner-up position, guided by Isabella Goyette. Goyette’s skill showed as she finished the day at 2 under par with 70 strokes, earning her a third-place finish. Elizabeth Coleman’s achievement of a hole-in-one was also noteworthy.
The Hudson Girl Golf team secured 4th place, led by Sherry with a solid score of 76. Teammates Emmy Burling (80), Julia Van Bokkelen (89), Elena Varga (93), and Ellie Davis (94) followed suit. The Stow Girls Golf team achieved a collective score of 352, with Gabby Berlingieri (81) leading their effort.
The Medina Varsity Girls finished 9th with a combined score of 366, led by Stella Burns.
Cammy Reed (74) and Sherry (76) made it to the all-tournament team.
