SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—We all know people can be a lot to handle, so it’s no surprise when you hear that someone prefers dogs over other humans. They’re always excited when we come home, they love to play and snuggle, and they make us laugh with their personality quirks. Dogs aren’t called “man’s best friend” for no reason! What better way to celebrate our love & companionship with our furry friends than to celebrate Valentine’s Day in their honor!
While love is in the air, County Executive Shapiro is announcing the Find Your Valentine at Summit County Animal Control adoption event beginning Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 28!
During the adoption event, costs will be reduced to $28 for dogs (regularly $94). All animals are microchipped, fully vetted (including bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay or neuter, and vaccinations) and ready to be taken home. Those who adopt a dog will also receive a 2025 Summit County Dog License included in the adoption cost.
Residents can call 330-643-2845 to schedule an appointment or visit the facility during business hours. To browse pictures of adoptable pets, visit Summit County Animal Control’s Facebook or 24 Pet Connect pages.
