Taco Bell Manager Takes Cash From Safe – April 3
A Taco Bell general manager was charged with theft after allegedly taking $911 from the store safe. The manager initially claimed she took the money to get change for the store but stopped responding to calls and texts from store management. On April 3, 2025, Dave Smith reported that Delfia Taylor, the general manager at Taco Bell on East Aurora Road, had taken $911.00 from the safe. When confronted, Taylor claimed she took the money to get change for the store and said it was at her home. However, she later stopped answering calls and text messages.
Nordstrom Rack Shoplifting Incident – April 3
A theft was reported at Nordstrom Rack on East Aurora Road on April 3, 2025. Loss Prevention had detained a woman identified as Alonna Kirksey. She was observed concealing merchandise worth $196.89 in her purse. Kirksey was charged with Theft (M-1) and Possession of Criminal Tools (M-1) through Macedonia Mayor’s Court.
Walmart Skip-Scanning Case – April 4
On April 4, 2025, police responded to Walmart regarding a shoplifter in custody with store loss prevention. The suspect, identified as Nautika Dunlap, was observed “skip-scanning” items at self-checkout. According to store loss prevention, Dunlap scanned some items but placed others directly into bags without scanning them. The stolen merchandise was valued at $33.18. Dunlap was arrested and charged with Misdemeanor Theft (M-1).
Walmart Theft Report – April 2
On April 2, 2025, officers responded to Walmart where Loss Prevention had detained Ralph Jordon. Loss Prevention reported that Jordon had “skip scanned” multiple items and left others in his cart without scanning them, passing all points of sale without paying for items totaling $88.87. Jordon was arrested and booked for theft through Macedonia Mayor’s Court.
Walmart Price Switching – April 2
Police were dispatched to Walmart on April 2, 2025, for a theft report. Walmart Loss Prevention had detained Camella Denise Morgan. The suspect had reportedly scanned more expensive items with bar codes of less expensive items, resulting in $105.99 worth of stolen merchandise. Morgan was charged with Theft (M-1) through Macedonia Mayor’s Court.

Kohl’s Trespassing Incident – April 5
On April 5, 2025, an officer spotted a suspicious male behind Kohl’s department store. The man was observed walking from the front of the store to the back, then throwing a backpack into the woods. The officer identified the man as Alan Adkins, who was known from a previous BOLO (Be On the Look Out) alert. Adkins had two active warrants and was found with a pocketknife and wire cutters, “which are commonly used by thieves to remove security devices.” Adkins was charged with Criminal Trespass (M4) through Macedonia Mayor’s Court.
Public Indecency at Gas Station – April 4
On April 4, 2025, officers observed a man urinating in plain view next to his vehicle while pumping gas at Speedway on East Aurora Road. The man, identified as Dylan Gabriel Stein, admitted to officers that he didn’t want to leave his car to use the restroom inside. Officers noted that the incident occurred in full view of other patrons and passing traffic. Stein was arrested and charged with Public Indecency (M4).
Scavenging Without Permit – April 1
On April 1, 2025, an officer observed a vehicle behind Active Plumbing Supply and found a male going through the dumpster. The man, identified as Shaun Kevin Booth, claimed he had permission to scrap but could not provide proof or identify the owner. Booth was found to have active warrants but they were outside the pickup radius.

Identity Theft Report – April 1
On April 1, 2025, Terry Hixenbaugh reported identity fraud affecting his social security checks for approximately three years. Hixenbaugh discovered the issue after receiving a foreclosure notice on his residence. He stated that his social security checks and mortgage payments were set up for automatic deposit and withdrawal, which delayed his discovery of the problem. The case was forwarded to detectives for investigation.

Female Search Assistance – April 6
On April 6, 2025, Macedonia Police assisted Sagamore Hills Police with a female search at Northfield Village Police Station. Officer Roberts conducted a search of a female arrested for OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired).
Maple Heights Assistance – April 3
On April 3, 2025, Macedonia Police responded to Broadway and Waterbury to assist Maple Heights Police with a traffic stop. Maple Heights had requested assistance with a fingerprint scanner to identify a suspect, but the suspect was identified before the Macedonia officer arrived.
