SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—We might not know every dog’s story before they arrive at Summit County Animal Control, but we do know there are so many happy journeys that begin when these dogs leave with their new families. To help more puppies get lucky and increase their chances of finding their forever home, County Executive Ilene Shapiro is announcing the You Lucky Dog! adoption event. Residents can stop by Summit County Animal Control and find their lucky dog for a reduced cost any day of the week!
During the adoption event, costs will be reduced to $28 for dogs (regularly $94). All animals are microchipped, fully vetted (including bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay or neuter, and vaccinations) and ready to be taken home. Those who adopt a dog will also receive a 2025 Summit County Dog License included in the adoption cost.
