Fall Season: Nordonia Football Preview: Nordonia Knights vs Brecksville-Broadview Heights

The Nordonia Knights Varsity Football Team is getting ready to play the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees in an exciting football game. The Knights enter this crucial conference matchup fresh off a resounding 41-10 victory over Stow-Munroe Falls, elevating their overall season record to an impressive 7-2 with a solid 3-2 conference record in the Suburban League National Division. Leading the charge for the Knights is their junior quarterback, Ben Chesser, who has showcased his skills with an impressive 1,469 passing yards and 13 touchdowns for the season. 

Chesser’s primary targets, senior wide receivers Israel Petite and Michael Ebert, have collectively contributed 764 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Additionally, senior kicker Connell Rafferty has been a reliable asset, amassing a total of 1,903 yards. The running game is bolstered by junior running back Rocco Delorenzo, who has exhibited his prowess with 868 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

On the other side, the Bees are eager to rebound following a significant setback, having suffered a 20-0 loss to the Twinsburg Tigers, which brought their season record to 5-4 with a conference record of 2-3 in the Suburban League National Division. 

The Bees are led by their senior quarterback, Colin Seibert, who has accumulated 1,225 passing yards and ten touchdowns for the season. Seibert’s go-to receiver is senior wide receiver Kyle Keener, who has hauled in 43 receptions for 465 yards and four touchdowns. The Bees proudly boast a formidable defense, led by junior running back Evan Rizzo, who has notched an impressive 85 tackles and seven sacks.

This highly anticipated game promises to be a closely contested affair, as both teams exhibit shared strengths and weaknesses. While the Knights hold a slight offensive advantage, averaging 23.8 points per game compared to the Bees’ 14.4 points per game, the Bees have a slight edge in tackles per game, with 59.0 compared to Nordonia’s 58.4.
