6. Blackburn Building Addition (8791 S. Freeway Dr.)

  • Granted preliminary approval for a 20,000 sq. ft. expansion
  • Applicant will need to seek a variance for parking requirements
  • Architecture to be refined per consultant recommendations, particularly for the front façade

7. Nordonia Landscaping (1325 E. Highland Rd.)

  • Final site plan discussion for a new commercial building with outdoor storage areas
  • Commission discussed screening requirements for material storage areas, particularly in tight space constraints
  • Solutions included using 9-foot concrete bin blocks with winter-interest grasses and tree protection measures
