High-BAC OVI Arrest and Traffic Violations
On April 12, 2026, at approximately 9:04 p.m., a patrol officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Northfield Road and Valley View Road. The officer observed a grey Acura making an improper turn and failing to stay within marked lanes. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol and observed visible signs of impairment. After failing Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was arrested; a subsequent breath sample revealed a .147 blood alcohol concentration (BAC). Police recovered several open containers of alcohol from the vehicle. The driver was issued charges for OVI, Prohibited BAC, Marked Lanes, and Open Container before being released with a date for Stow Municipal Court.
Criminal Trespass at MGM Casino
Officers were dispatched to the MGM Casino on Northfield Road on the evening of April 8, 2026, to handle a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, units located the subject identified by security. The individual was cited into Stow Municipal Court for criminal trespass and released from the scene.
