Sagamore Hills: Father-Son Dispute Leads to Voluntary Hospitalization

Officers responded to a North Gannett Road residence on April 10 after a verbal altercation between a father and son escalated. According to Officer Dan DeCrane, the dispute began when the father suggested his son take a break from physical therapy exercises.

“Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the father who explained that his son had become enraged after being talked to about his physical therapy,” Officer DeCrane reported.

The son became agitated when officers arrived, expressing frustration about both his father and the police department. Officers confirmed that nothing physical occurred during the argument, but arranged for Northfield Village Fire Department to transport the son to Summa Hospital in Akron at his request.

No charges were filed in the incident, which was documented for records purposes only. Body camera footage is available from the responding officers.

Sagamore Hills: Welfare Check Conducted on Meadowview Road

On April 7, Sagamore Hills Police Department officers responded to a residence on Meadowview Road for a welfare check at approximately 7:43 p.m. Officers Chris Salveter, Chris Danko, and Adam Nunns responded to the call. The property involved reportedly sustained damage, though details of the nature and extent were not specified in the initial report.

Northfield Village: Man Found Deceased in Hot Tub

Northfield Village officers responded to a residence on Beech Avenue on April 9 at approximately 3:57 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive male in a hot tub. Upon arrival, officers found the male deceased. An investigation was initiated, with no further details available at press time.
