Twinsburg Township has announced plans for a significant upgrade to its historic Township Square, with construction scheduled to run from April through October 2025. The Board of Trustees recently approved this long-awaited project aimed at modernizing the community space while preserving its historical significance.
Improvements Focus on Functionality and Heritage
The Township Square, located at the intersection of State Route 91/Ravenna Road and State Route 82 in the center of Twinsburg, has long served as a community gathering place. The upcoming renovations will include several key improvements:
- New electrical systems and lighting
- Enhanced drainage solutions
- Reconfigured sidewalks and walkways
- Relocated monuments arranged in an accessible circular pattern
- Improved entrance points
These updates are designed to accommodate more community-wide events while maintaining the square’s historical character.
Township Leadership Enthusiastic About Project
Township Trustee and Board Chair James C. Balogh expressed excitement about the project, noting that it represents years of planning and collaboration.
“The Board has worked for several years to review options for updating the Township Square,” said Balogh. “The work is much needed and well overdue, and it will come out really nice in the end.”
