Navigating the Maze of Medicare Plans

Sharon Honroth from Kaz Company Medicare Plans will be returning to the Library to present an educational program to take the mystery out of Medicare.

Baby Time

Baby Time features books, bounces, songs, and bubbles followed by a playtime. Baby Time is for ages 2 and under. Register online, by phone, or in person.

 

Story Time

Story time features stories, rhymes, music, sometimes flannels, and bubbles followed by a playtime.

Paws for Reading

Tuesdays, April 9, May 14, June 11,6:30 p.m.

Mondays, April 29, June 24, 6:30 p.m.

Read a book to a certified therapy dog. Bring a book or read one of ours! This is a terrific way for children to practice their literacy skills and gain more confidence in reading aloud. Children of all ages are welcome. Register online, by phone, or in person

 

School Age Programs

Thrilling Thursdays 

Thursday, 4 pm 

Join us after school at 4 pm for some fun activities.

March 28- Wind Damage-School Readiness Tool Kit-Build a tower that is as tall and durable as possible, and then test the structure in the wind by placing a fan in front of it. Will the tower withstand the windstorm? This activity introduces children to trial-and-error and problem solving.

April 25– CD Wind Spinners-Decorate a cd with assorted gems and jewels and make wind spinner. Observe it in action.

May 16 –Woven craft stick butterflies

 

Cosi Learning Lunch Box

Water Exploration

Friday, April 19, 3:30

We will explore the Water Learning Lunch Box from Cosi. This kit has most of the supplies in it.  Some of the activities we will do together and some you will explore at home.

 

Messy Monday

Join us for some messy fun at 6:15pm. Remember to wear some old clothes, you may get messy.Register online, by phone, or in person.

April 29-Spring tree blossoms

May 20- Bottle Flower Art-Make a bottle flower art piece using lid caps, plastic bottle, and piper cleaners. Decorate it with paint, duct tape, etc.

June 17-Water bead painting-Explore painting with water beads.

 

Teen Programs 

Teen Café 

On the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm, we will try something new. Maybe a craft, a recipe, or a new skill.

This month come in and learn how to make microwave chips and homemade dip.

Thursday, April 18 We are creating bookmarks with fancy stitches, cool folds, and metal. Try making one style or try them all.

Thursday, May 16 Join us this month to create your own rune stone dice.

 

Dungeons and Dragons

Second & Fourth Mondays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, April 22 & May 13, June 10 & 24

Join our quest at your own peril! Bring your dice and your tankard. Snacks provided. For more information, please ask Mistress Sue.

Teen Lit Loot

Grades 6-12 are invited to register for our book box service: Lit Loot! Each box will contain two books and an assortment of goodies. Register in person, or by phone at330-467-8595.
