Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and National Football League Travel Blockbuster Halftime Show Exhibit to Super Bowl Experience in Los Angeles

Exhibit features memorable national anthem and halftime performances with legendary artists including Aerosmith, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and The Weeknd

CLEVELAND, OH (January 31, 2022) – By popular demand, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and National Football League (NFL) are traveling the blockbuster exhibit, The Biggest Show on Turf: 56 Years of Halftime Shows presented by Pepsi, to the Super Bowl Experience at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Saturday, February 5 – Sunday, February 6 and from Thursday, February 10 – Saturday, February 12.

Since debuting at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland during the 2021 NFL Draft, the exhibit has welcomed hundreds of thousands of fans.

“The Super Bowl has always been bigger than just the game. It’s a cultural phenomenon that brings fans together with music and football for an experience like no other,” said Greg Harris, President & CEO, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “We are thrilled to collaborate with the NFL and Pepsi to travel the exhibit to the Super Bowl and celebrate the dynamic history of the Halftime Show with fans.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s traveling exhibits are featured in museums and cultural centers worldwide and now, in this new collaboration, at the Super Bowl Experience. The traveling exhibits bring the energy of rock & roll to life beyond the walls of the museum. Each exhibition is designed to engage, teach, and inspire audiences through the power of rock & roll.

The immersive exhibit at the Super Bowl Experience lets fans stroll through The Weeknd’s breathtaking mirrored infinity room set piece for a visual experience that spotlights a unique performance and check out Katy Perry’s beach-ball-inspired costume and “Left Shark” that ignited a pop culture phenomenon after her 2015 performance.

Plus, get a behind-the-scenes look at the entire operation, from Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s stage models to The Who’s lighting grid and stage plans and time-lapses of production setups and tear downs over the years.

The exhibit also features special rock and football-related items from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s collection, such as Roger Daltrey of The Who’s football helmet worn on the cover of 1974 Who album, Odds & Sods, and Joe Walsh of the Eagles University of Texas football jersey worn on the Eagles Long Run tour.

The Super Bowl is the most watched event with a worldwide audience of approximately 100 million. It’s a massive platform for artists, including numerous Hall of Fame Inductees and each halftime performance comes with a different vision and approach. Whether it’s Bruce Springsteen’s dynamic performance with minimalist staging, Bruno Mars’ 1950’s-style R&B revue, the Las Vegas-style showgirl spectacular from Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, or Prince’s rain-soaked stage in the shape of his iconic trademark symbol – they all become unique and historical events of our time.
